Sim3D uses deterministic ray tracing within synthetic 3D environments to simulate real-time GNSS multipath and obscuration effects under controlled, repeatable conditions.

Multipath and signal simulation

  • Simulate up to 31 multipath signals per line of sight (LOS) with up to 6 reflections per signal
  • Manipulate signal code, carrier, and power based on interaction with the 3D environment
  • Support all constellations, frequencies, and codes currently simulated by Keysight
  • Run both static and dynamic scenarios with dynamic trajectory generation

3D environment modeling

  • Generate custom 3D models or import externally created models and objects
  • Access multiple pre-built 3D environments
  • Support scene sizes up to 5 km² (or larger for highway scenarios)
  • Factor building and object material properties into signal calculations
