Software Communication Architecture (SCA) is a US military standard that defines software component structure and interfaces for Software-Defined Radios (SDR), to ensure transportability and quality. Formerly, achieving SCA compliance was a difficult and manual process. Today, dedicated commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms from Keysight Technologies (SystemVue) and PrismTech (Spectra CX) are providing streamlined solutions for both physical layer communications design as well as software component deployment.
