Essential SMUs: Provide 5.5‑digit source resolution with low‑level current resolution from 10 fA to 1 pA, single‑channel operation, up to 1.5 A DC output, and sample rates from 5 kSa/s to 20 kSa/s. Compact and affordable, Essential SMUs combine six instruments in one to streamline everyday IV measurements and bench workflows.
Expert SMUs: Deliver 5.5‑digit source resolution with 100 fA current resolution, up to two channels, maximum voltage up to 210 V, up to 3 A current output, and 50 kSa/s sampling for higher‑precision, higher‑throughput characterization.
Pro SMUs: Offer 6.5‑digit source resolution with 10 fA current resolution, up to two channels, up to 3 A current output, and 100 kSa/s sampling. Select Pro models add precise pulsed current sourcing up to 10.5 A to minimize device stress, power dissipation, and thermal effects associated with DC measurements.
In addition, Modular SMUs provide benchtop‑class performance in high‑density mainframes and PXIe modules. Configure up to 20 channels in a 1U, 4‑slot mainframe, or choose PXIe SMUs to integrate into existing modular test systems. Modular options support up to 210 V, and sampling rates up to 15 MSa/s for dynamic and pulsed measurements.
Across the lineup, Keysight SMUs integrate multiple instruments into one — pulse generator, DMM, power supply, current source, electronic load, arbitrary waveform generator, and digitizer — reducing setup complexity and ensuring tight synchronization between sourcing and measurement. Ultra‑fast sampling captures transients and dynamic behaviors in fast‑switching devices, while pulsed output capabilities (available on Pro and selected Modular models) minimize thermal effects for more accurate characterization.
