Keysight Update: WannaCry Ransomware (June 2017)
Updated: June 1, 2017
On May 12, the WannaCry (also known as WannaCrypt) ransomware was released.
Keysight is aware of the worldwide issue with the WannaCry ransomware that attacks vulnerabilities in the Microsoft Windows operating system. Many Keysight instruments use the Microsoft Windows operating systems and are similarly vulnerable.
If your Keysight instrument is infected by this malware and you are requesting Keysight assistance with repair, contact your local Keysight Business Center.
We encourage all customers with Windows-based instruments to review the Microsoft customer guidance for WannaCry attacks and ensure their instruments have the latest critical security patches installed.
A global Keysight team is working on this issue and will share new information on this webpage as it becomes available.
For additional questions, please contact Keysight.
