Highlights

Keysight VisionWorks Service Assurance Platform — formerly the Spirent VisionWorks service assurance platform — combines active test agents, a centralized controller, and analytics software for cloud-native, end-to-end network service assurance. The controller manages physical TestHeads, mobile test platforms, and virtual test agents (VTAs) to deliver service activation testing, performance monitoring, and automated troubleshooting across Ethernet/IP and mobile networks.

The platform delivers cloud-native network service assurance by combining physical and virtual test agents with a centralized controller and analytics engine. The controller orchestrates active testing across access, backhaul, aggregation, core, and datacenter domains to provide end-to-end visibility, proactive analytics, and automated troubleshooting.

  • Cloud-native architecture supporting physical, virtual, and cloud-instance deployment of test agents
  • Centralized controller manages and schedules thousands of VisionWorks Test Agents, including physical TestHeads, mobile test platforms (MTPs), and virtual test agents (VTAs)
  • Service activation testing with standards-based protocols including Y.1564, MEF 48, RFC 2544, and RFC 6349
  • 24/7 performance monitoring using Two-Way Active Measurement Protocol (TWAMP) and Ethernet operations, administration, and maintenance (EOAM) per Y.1731/802.1ag
  • Automated troubleshooting with signature-based analysis to detect irregularities and initiate isolation workflows
  • Aggregates results into key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), alerts, and notifications
  • Synthetic traffic injection enables proactive issue detection before customer usage starts
  • Topology awareness enables network-first workflows and impact analysis
  • Open application programming interfaces (APIs) integrate with orchestration platforms, network telemetry, inventory and topology systems, and data lakes
  • Leverages existing network devices as on-net test points via VisionWorks connectors — enabling active testing at scale with no truck rolls
