Overview

Keysight is aware of a critical severity remote code execution vulnerability in PROPSIM (F8800A, F8820A, F8800B, F8820B) software versions 10.0 (released May 2024) to 12.1. There is no known evidence of exploitation at this time.

Impacted Products and Mitigation

We have assessed the complete Keysight product portfolio available as of this time and determined that only PROPSIM (F8800A, F8820A, F8800B, F8820B) software versions 10.0 (released May 2024) to 12.1 are impacted.¹

This issue was resolved in software version 12.2 which was released on 22-Jul-26.

Recommended Action

Keysight recommends that all customers upgrade to the latest version of software as soon as possible. Older versions of software may have this vulnerability; we recommend that customers discontinue the use of older software versions.

In general, Keysight recommends that customers always follow industry cybersecurity best practices and always update to the latest software versions available to them to safeguard against any vulnerabilities and threats.
