Receiver Blocking Solution

Receiver blocking tests combine a desired signal with a higher-power interfering signal to evaluate blocker rejection, desensitization, and receiver robustness. The interfering signal can be configured to emulate adjacent-channel or in-band conditions with controlled frequency, amplitude, and modulation characteristics.

The setup uses separate sources for the desired and interfering signals, which are combined through an RF combiner before being applied to the receiver. Receiver performance is monitored while the blocker frequency, amplitude, and modulation are varied. Step and list sweep modes enable efficient characterization across multiple frequencies and operating conditions.

Receiver Blocking Solution

Receiver blocking tests combine a desired signal with a higher-power interfering signal to evaluate blocker rejection, desensitization, and receiver robustness. The solution uses controlled RF signal generation to emulate adjacent-channel and in-band interferers with stable output levels, rapid frequency and amplitude changes, and analog modulation. One source provides the blocker signal while a second source generates the desired signal. The signals are combined through an RF combiner before being applied to the receiver, and performance is monitored as blocker frequency, amplitude, and modulation conditions are varied. Step and list sweep modes support efficient characterization across multiple frequencies and operating conditions.
