How do you import a HSPICE netlist of IO Buffer for SI simulation?

Generally, an IO Buffer design includes a SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) netlist of an IO circuit and models of transistors. HSPICE™ netlist is a common format for netlist and models. To import an HSPICE netlist of IO Buffer into ADS, select Tools > HSPICE Compatibility Component > Wizard to open the HSPICE Compatibility Wizard window. Then follow the steps below to import a HSPICE netlist:

  1. Specify the HSPICE file name to import
  2. Input the ADS design name
  3. Set up the input and output pins of the ADS design
  4. Edit the symbol
  5. Set up the parameters
  6. View the summary and click the Finish button to import the netlist
