Description

PathWave WaferPro 2023 is the next major step in delivering new capabilities, new technologies, and more improvements to realize a long-term vision of improving measurement productivity and efficiency. Built on the powerful PathWave Device Modeling (IC-CAP) technology, PathWave WaferPro features a modern and intuitive user interface. WaferPro can run tests in virtual or simulation mode to facilitate the development of measurement routines. The 2023 release enables the Python 3 programming environment to create custom measurements, post-process algorithms, and pass/fail conditions. WaferPro exports measured data in several standard formats during the test plan execution, including IC-CAP's MDM, PathWave Model Builder's MEA formats, and now HDF5.

Python 3 Support

For the first time, PathWave WaferPro now supports Python 3. It provides expanded package support, integrated plotting, and linkage to customized installations. WaferPro Python 3 standard configuration now includes additional packages like Pandas, SymPy, H5Py, OpenPyXL, and the most updated version of SciPy, NumPy, and MatPlotLib (refer to the product documentation for a complete list of packages).

PathWave WaferPro provides a convenient Python 2 to 3 script to automatically convert Python 2 routines/functions to Python 3. Python 3 also enables exporting all Test Plan measured data into a single HDF5 database file. A convenient Python API lets you query the HDF5 file to retrieve and post-process data.
