Multi-Domain Systems (SimulationX) expands its application range by introducing e.g. new heat exchanger models that significantly improve usability, performance and numerical stability. This is the start of a thorough rework that will continue into the next releases. The coverage for electric drive applications improved through adding a brushless DC motor model.

Also, several new and enhanced features in e.g. result chart handling, curve data management as well as auto completion and error checking of expressions improve the overall user experience. User-side licensing management became again more flexible.

Last but not least parallel execution on several processor cores has been introduced for the first time for CVODE and Fixed Step solvers.

Note: Starting from Multi-Domain Systems (SimulationX) 2024 the Green City library is distributed and licensed directly through the library provider EA Systems Dresden GmbH.

  • Standardized classification of Driving Maneuvers models according to ISO 11010
  • Enhanced visualization of 3D geometries and sceneries

  • Possibility to add measurement labels to result charts in any number, enhanced crosshair functions for result plot measurements
  • Intelligent subsampling and zoom function for large curve data sets
  • New numerical result views for scalar, vector and matrix variables, as well as numerical watch views for user-defined expressions
  • Flexible handling of unresolved expressions in parameters with graphical notification in the model view
  • Note and data annotations on parameters through parameter dialogs
  • Thoroughly reworked autocompletion of expressions (IntelliSense)
  • Enhanced and streamlined crash reporting

Licensing

  • It is now possible to return module or feature licenses o the license server during runtime without restarting SimulationX
  • Counted borrowing of tokens is now possible
