Show Description
The evolution of Capex and power consumption for networking is of significant concern to data center operators. Next-generation multimode pluggable modules are addressing this very critical issue. Keysight’s expert Dr. Hadrien Louchet first discusses how key performance metrics such as bit error rate, frame loss ratio can be measured with the A400GE-QDD multiport tester. He then focuses on a critical step of optical module validation, the optical transmitter test, and shows how Keysight combines the N1077B Multimode Optical/Electrical Clock Recovery and the N1092x Series of DCA-M sampling Oscilloscope to carry out accurate measurements on multimode design with a very low margin. As interoperability is and remains a must, accurate validation and conformance test solutions are necessary prior to the large-scale deployment of this low footprint technology.
