S95070B software enables fast and accurate active device modulation distortion characterization under modulated stimulus conditions up to 53 GHz. The wide dynamic range and vector error correction of the PXI VNA results in an extremely low residual EVM from the test setup, giving you a complete picture of your device’s performance without test system interference. S95070B software measures EVM, NPR, ACPR, and decomposes nonlinear signals and linear signals through spectral correlation between the input and output spectrum, without doing demodulation. Integration with the PXI VNA’s measurement flexibility enables you to do quick modulation distortion measurements along with traditional VNA tests.

The M983xA PXIe network analyzer with hardware options 270 or 271 are highly recommended when using software S95070B (MOD). While these internal hardware options are not required in running the MOD application, without them the setup requires external components and is complex. Options 270 or 271 greatly simplify the measurements. The S95070B software also works with M981xAS PXI network analyzer with Option 491/691 and 090, or M980xA PXIe network analyzer with direct receiver access configurations and Option 090/190. Modulation distortion for frequency converters (MOD-X) requires S95083B, vector and scalar mixer/converter measurements software. S95082B, scalar mixer/converter measurement software is not sufficient to run MOD-X. S95083B is required.
