Keysight Distributed Infrastructure (KDI) 2025

 

New Features:

  • Users are now distinct from App Credentials, allowing better management of fabric identities.
  • Teams have been introduced to make managing permissions for groups of KDI users easier.
  • Roles have been added to simplify managing the fine-grained authorization model.
  • You can now use the KDI Management UI for Identity and Access Management, allowing you to assign roles to users, app credentials, or teams.
  • Service Management has been added to the KDI Management UI, allowing you to start and stop KDI-aware services.
  • A KDI CLI has been added for PIN-based authentication.
  • User management has been added for standalone KDI leaf nodes.

Enhancements:

  • Fine-grained authorization with SQLite database for OpenFGA is now a default feature, eliminating the need for manual configuration.
  • KDI Management UI has been updated to support all new KDI features and workflows.
  • Added authorization to many existing APIs, strengthening API security.
  • Includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements for KDI, KDIS and KDI Management UI.
