In the 3rd edition of RCR’s 6G Forum we will tackle the most pressing questions relating to AI-native network architectures and service enablement as the industry moves towards the 6G era. As operators outline their expectations for 6G, including a vision for a light, software‑centric evolution of 5G, the ambition for 6G to be truly AI‑native by design suggests that meaningful architectural changes may be unavoidable. This year’s forum will examine the differing views of what 6G should be and explore the implications for networks, services, and the broader ecosystem.

He also serves as an independent advisor to several industry and government bodies.
Nelson Mayedo
Product Manager
Nelson Mayedo holds a Master's degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Oulu, Finland. He began his career as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) in Oulu (2020–2021). In May 2021, he joined Keysight Technologies as a Wireless System Test Engineer, moving into a Senior Product Engineer role in January 2023. Since May 2026, Nelson has served as Product Manager for Keysight's PROPSIM Channel Emulation Solutions for Device Test, based in Oulu, Finland.
Usman Virk, M.Sc., D.Sc.
R&D Manager and Solution Architect, RF Digital Twin
Usman Virk, M.Sc., D.Sc., is an R&D Manager and Solution Architect for RF Digital Twin at Keysight Technologies. He leads cross-functional R&D across product strategy, technology development, validation, and customer engagement. As chief architect of Keysight’s RF Digital Twin Solution, he drives accurate channel modeling and digital twin capabilities, guiding multidisciplinary teams and industry-academic collaboration. His expertise spans radio channel measurement, simulation, modeling and emulation for 5G and 6G. His research interests cover multiband channel and RF material characterization, massive and extreme MIMO, integrated sensing and communication, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, non-terrestrial networks, and AI-enabled physical-layer technologies. He has contributed to channel modeling in 3GPP and ETSI and participates in research projects. Dr. Virk holds M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in Radio Engineering from Aalto University. His honors include paper awards at LAPC 2015 and EuCAP 2017, the 2021 IEEE AP-S R. W. P. King Paper Award, and a Nokia Foundation Scholarship.
