The M9188A is a PXI based, 1-slot unipolar Dynamic DAC which has 16 channels capable of supplying typical waveforms at high voltages. It has 4 isolated banks with 4 channels in each bank.

The M9188A’s capability of outputting high voltages meets voltage test requirements of 0V to +30V, therefore, eliminating the need for design and development of additional signal conditioning circuits for applications that require voltages of up to +30V such as an engine electronic control unit.

With the ability to provide a dynamic current source signal of up to +20mA, the M9188A eliminates the need for an additional current transformer or source measure unit (SMU) for application tests that requires current source signals.

Another unique feature of the M9188A is that it is designed with output amplifiers that provides protection from short-circuits and over-temperatures. Every channel is designed with an output disconnect switch that is capable of providing isolation between the module and application.

With 1MB available memory per channel, the M9188A is able to simulate waveforms with a sampling period from 2µs to 512 µs. This effectively enables the M9188A to behave like a basic Arbitrary Waveform Generator (ARB) for waveforms of up to 500kSa/s update rate.

The M9185A is a fully independent, isolated D/A converter that is capable of supplying high voltage levels in parallel of up to eight or sixteen channels. Each channel is able to output up to ±16V as stimulus signals to Device Under Tests (DUTs).

The M9185A DAC also comes with a built-in SENSE mechanism, which is able to detect the output voltage levels and feedback the information to the DAC circuitry to compensate for the voltage drop at the receiving end of a DUT. Hence the accuracy of the stimulus signal is ensured.

Equipped with the ability of supplying voltage levels of up to ±16V and a SENSE feature, the M9185A suits perfectly for the automotive industry where operating voltages range between 12V to 14V and signal accuracy is always an important factor.

The V/I source lets you source a voltage and measure the resultant current, or source a current and measure the resultant voltage. It consist of two separate amplifiers, denoted “low” and “high” that share a common output connection. The “low” amplifier provides voltages in the range of 16V at up to 200mA and the “high” amplifier provides voltages in the range of 100V at up to 20mA.

Typical applications for the low-voltage amplifier include I/O pin parametric leakage, bias current, impedance, threshold and clamp voltage. The high voltage amplifier can be applied to help verify the presence of clamp diodes as the outputs of modules that drive inductive loads. Both the amplifiers can sense the amount of current flowing while forcing a constant voltage.

Uniquely present is a safety interlock for the high-voltage amplifier that automatically disables the high-voltage amplifier and opens all relays when the interlock circuit is broken. This provides protection to the DUT when dangerous high levels of voltage maybe present. The interlock in indicated by an LED on the module front panel and can be used, for example, by connecting to an external limit switch on fixtures.

The M9336A arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) delivers exceptional performance for creation of complex wideband waveforms. Multiple 540 MHz bandwidth channels with 16-bit resolution and up to a 1.28 GSa/s sampling rate are provided in a single-slot PXIe instrument. This enables the AWG to generate wide bandwidth signals with low error vector magnitude (EVM), making it ideal for creating baseband waveforms for wireless communications, radar, and satellite. The M9336A can also be combined with a wideband I/Q upconverter, resulting in modulation bandwidths of 1 GHz at RF frequencies for signal simulations employed in functional testing of chip sets designed for modern digital communications radios.

The M9336A includes advanced sequencing and triggering modes which can be used to create complex waveforms and event-based signal simulations. Multiple AWG modules can be synchronized for the generation of phase-coherent signals. Waveforms can be developed using a variety of software tools including Keysight Signal Studio and MATLAB. The AWG’s IVI driver set simplifies integration into a variety of application development environments such as LabVIEW and VisualStudio.NET. A comprehensive soft front panel speeds test development and debug by enabling the user to interactively control the module or by tracking module settings which have been set using the API.

The M5300A is a two-slot PXIe module with four high-speed AWG outputs, clock input and output, and eight triggers. It provides high-performance with easy-to-use programming libraries, real-time sequencing technology, and FPGA programming.

The module supports four directly synthesized RF channels in 2 PXIe slots with up to 16 GHz of RF and 2 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth.

The M5301A is a single-slot PXIe module with four baseband AWG outputs, clock input and output, and four triggers. It provides high performance with easy-to-use programming libraries, real-time sequencing technology, and FPGA programming.

The M5301A baseband AWG module supports analog waveforms from 0 to 400 MHz with 400 MHz of bandwidth. The waveforms can be played from onboard memory as part of an HVI sequence.
