8614xB OSA Web-Enabled Software
Web-enabled software for the Keysight 8614xB family of optical spectrum analyzers (OSA) allows remote testing of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) and other optical transmission systems. Users can easily analyze system performance or impairments, acquire data, and globally monitor systems in real time.
Any PC connected to the intranet can have access to the same OSA*. Engineers and technicians who are monitoring and troubleshooting systems in different locations can work together to utilize the global knowledge base of your operations. These measures save time, reduce travel expense and inconvenience, and minimize the need for additional test equipment.
The equipment must be connected to an internal intranet such as an enterprise network. The OSA connects to a GPIB box via a GPIB cable while an Ethernet cable connects the GPIB box to a server PC. At this point, any client PC in the world can access the OSA as long as it can connect to the server PC.
*Only one client PC may control a single OSA at any given time.
**This unsupported web-enabled software has been written for customers by Keysight. It has not been field tested by Keysight and is therefore not warranted or supported by Keysight Technologies.
