Description

The Educator’s Training Kit for the Keysight DSO1000 Series oscilloscopes provides an array of free downloadable teaching tools that you can use to help teach university electrical engineering and physics major students about oscilloscopes.

The Oscilloscope Lab Guide and Tutorial consists of 7 hands-on labs with step-by-step instructions. This lab guide and tutorial will help teach students about the basics of what an oscilloscope is and how to make voltage versus timing measurements on a scope. No other equipment, other than a Keysight 1000 Series oscilloscope, is required to complete these labs.

The Professor’s Oscilloscope Fundamentals slide-set can be used as a pre-lab lecture. This slide-set includes a complete set of speaker notes and can be presented in either the classroom or the lab in about 30 to 45 minutes.

The downloadable Probe Loading experiment teaches students about the affects of connecting a probe to a circuit, and how the electrical model of the probe itself then becomes a part of the circuit under test and can change the behavior of a design.

Also included in this free oscilloscope training kit is an oscilloscope poster that you can order to hang on the wall in your teaching lab. This poster provides students with some helpful hints on how to set up an oscilloscope to make basic voltage versus timing measurements.
