Service Alerts & Important Notices

Operating System Compatibility
WARNING: Landslide no longer supports Ubuntu 20.04. Any Test Servers and Traffic Analysis Systems (TAS) currently running Ubuntu 20.04 must be upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 prior to upgrading to Landslide version 25.3 or later. Failure to meet this prerequisite may result in system instability or render the systems inoperable.

Refer to the Related Resources section for OS upgrade packages.

Code Signing Certificate Update
WARNING: The code signing certificate used for Landslide software expired with the 23.4 release. Beginning immediately after the 23.3 release, all software has been signed using a new certificate issued by the Certificate Authority (CA).

The updated certificate introduces a modified format that requires validation support included in Landslide 23.3 GA.

  • Systems running versions prior to 23.4 GA must first upgrade to 23.4 GA before upgrading to any subsequent releases.
  • Failure to do so will prevent validation of newer software packages and block upgrade paths.

Network Configuration Requirement

  • All Test Servers must have the management port configured on a separate subnet from traffic ports to ensure proper operation and network isolation.

Java Runtime Requirements

  • Support for Java 8 was discontinued in Landslide 23.2.
  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 11 (11.0.x) or later is required, with Java 11 recommended for optimal compatibility.
  • Supported JRE installers for Windows, Linux, and macOS are available on the Troubleshoot Clients page via external sources such as https://adoptium.net/

Note: Use of Java 17 or later requires additional configuration to ensure full functionality with the Landslide Client. Refer to the Java Client-Specific Information section in the Landslide Online Help for detailed guidance.

Product Licensing Requirement

Prior to upgrading to Landslide 25.3, a new product license is required. For assistance in obtaining OS upgrade packages or obtaining a license, contact Keysight Support by clicking on the Create Ticket button below.
