Daniel (Dan) Thomasson is senior vice president of advanced technology at Keysight Technologies, where he leads the company’s semiconductor and subsystems R&D, engineering, and manufacturing organizations. He is responsible for leading the invention, development, and delivery of next-generation technologies that enable and differentiate the company’s products to solve top customer challenges and fuel business growth.
Throughout his career, Dan has been instrumental in driving innovation across a broad range of technologies, including high-speed and high-frequency integrated circuits, data converter and DSP ASICs, electronic subsystems, semiconductor fabrication and microelectronic packaging, silicon photonics, over-the-air measurement systems, computational engines, AI/ML, and software infrastructure.
Dan has been with Keysight and its predecessors, Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard, for more than 25 years. Most recently, he served as vice president of Keysight Labs and head of central technology. Earlier in his career, Dan spent a decade as director of the High Frequency Technology Center in Santa Rosa, California, and held a variety of technical and leadership roles in semiconductor and microwave R&D and manufacturing.
Dan holds a Ph.D. and master’s in electrical engineering from Penn State University and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and physics from The Ohio State University.
