The VPI Optical Link (VOL) element is where the optical parameters are processed in a dynamic simulation, from VPIphotonics Design Suite. This solution enables: transceiver characterization with varied parameters (ex. fiber length or laser power), simulate the design within a given BER, and analyze the entire optical link end-to-end, passing through both electrical and optical domains.
