Power Integrity Boot Camp for Designers

Powering the new generation of automobile electronics is not a DC problem. It is an AC problem that is part of the rapidly growing field of Power Integrity. Power Integrity uses modern techniques like flat impedance in the frequency domain to meet the decreasing design margins for power rail ripple.  Your ability to leverage datasheet designs may no longer work. Today, simulation and measurement techniques must work together to solve the Power Integrity Ecosystem challenges and help make tough cost vs. performance trade-offs.

Join us for a day of Power Integrity hands-on simulation and measurement demonstrations. Keysight and Picotest experts will bring to life the popular How to Design for Power Integrity 5-part YouTube video series with Steve Sandler.

Learn the latest techniques for:

  • Flat Target Z design process
  • Simulating load di/dt transients
  • 2-port shunt impedance measurements to create capacitor models
  • DC-DC converter selection and optimization with state-space behavioral models
  • PIPro decoupling capacitor optimization with PCB EM models

Automotive Ethernet – Next Generation Automotive Serial Bus Workshop

All versions of Automotive Ethernet require rigorous testing: IEEE 802.3bw, IEEE 802.3bp, and OABR 3.2. Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) is an extension to IEEE 802.1 that makes Ethernet deterministic, more robust, and more reliable. The specified tests covering transmitters, receivers, and harness/connector assemblies, are more complex than what most automotive engineers have done in the past. When you move to this new evolving technology with complex test requirements, be prepared.

Participate in hands-on labs to learn how to test and make critical measurements on Ethernet based designs. Keysight will show solutions to address 100Base-T1 and 1000Base-T1, electrical, protocol, and link segments based on our Infinium real-time oscilloscopes and vector network analyzers.

After presenting a technical overview, this workshop will include three separate breakout sessions with demonstrations:

  • Breakout Session #1: Physical Layer – Time-Domain/Oscilloscope Based
  • Breakout Session #2: Physical Layer – Frequency Domain/Network Analyzer Based
  • Breakout Session #3: Up the Stack – Capture of Live Traffic at the Higher Layers
