System Description

 

Keysight's threat simulator source system is a fully integrated system. A single rack provides 4 or 8 (depending on model) N5193A A-UXG sources. Addition of a second identical rack can expand the system to double the number of sources. All sources are aligned in amplitude, phase and time using an appropriate companion Z2098B-172series calibration system.

Definition

 

Channels

 

A channel is a set of coherent RF signals that perform an AoA group. Each channel must be a part of the same MBS set.   A single channel can emulate multiple time multiplexed emitters/beams as long as there are no pulse collisions. Multiple channels can be combined to accurately simulate pulse collisions.

 

Ports

 

The number of RF signals in an AoA group. The number of Source ports should at least equal the number of SUT ports for an AoA group.

 

Simulation Capability

 

The Keysight threat simulator provides complete measurement capability for:

• Best in class RF A-UXG sources

• Thermal stabilization to reduce phase and amplitude variation due to environmental changes

• Each source is capable of simulating multiple emitters

• Creation of overlapping pulses is supported using multiple channels
