This product demonstration showcases how Keysight Multi-Domain Systems (SimulationX) software enables engineers to model, simulate, and analyze complete system architectures within a unified multi-domain environment. By creating a digital representation of an entire product before detailed CAD models or physical prototypes exist, engineering teams can evaluate system behavior early, understand the flow of energy, forces, and signals, and identify design improvements when changes are least costly.
The video features an electric truck model that combines the vehicle powertrain, battery, control systems, environmental conditions, and driving route within a single system-level simulation. Engineers can assess key performance metrics such as energy consumption, battery efficiency, and vehicle range under varying operating conditions, revealing how factors such as low ambient temperatures can significantly impact performance and informing design decisions before hardware is built.
The demonstration also highlights SimulationX's intuitive drag-and-drop modeling environment, extensive multi-domain component libraries, and support for the open Modelica standard. Integration with FMI/FMU workflows, Python automation capabilities, and forthcoming AI-assisted engineering features further enhance productivity and collaboration.
