Structural Mechanics (VPS)
Keysight CAE Structural Mechanics (VPS) is a high-fidelity simulation software designed to model and predict the physical behavior of systems subjected to extreme dynamic events such as crash, impact, airbag deployment, occupant safety, and fluid–structure interaction. Built on advanced physics-based methods, including mesh-dependent and mesh-free approaches, VPS enables engineers to evaluate safety, performance, and robustness using a single, reusable simulation model.
It addresses:
- Vehicle crash and impact scenarios, including frontal, side, rear, and oblique impacts
- Occupant safety analyses, using crash test dummies and human body models
- Airbag deployment and interaction, using advanced fluid and gas modeling techniques
- Seat safety, comfort, and whiplash assessments through integrated structural and occupant modeling
- Fluid - structure interaction problems, such as water crossing, splash, and airbag inflation
