WaveBee V2X Test and Emulation

Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) enables seamless communication between vehicles, infrastructure, networks, pedestrians, devices, and even the electrical grid – revolutionizing how vehicles interact with their environment. The core objectives of V2X include enhancing road safety, improving traffic efficiency, reducing energy consumption, and enabling smarter vehicle-to-infrastructure communication. However, deploying V2X presents significant challenges for OEMs and road operators, requiring rigorous testing against communication standards, regulatory requirements, and interoperability protocols. The complexity is further compounded by varying global standards, with different regions adopting distinct guidelines for V2X communication. This solution brief offers an in-depth exploration of the regulatory landscape, interoperability testing, and industry compliance required to bring V2X innovations to market. It also highlights how Keysight's WaveBee V2X toolchain, combined with superior physical layer solutions and PathWave test automation, can simplify in-vehicle integration and ensure reliable communication and performance across ADAS, autonomous vehicles, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).

Autonomous Drive Emulation : Apply C-V2X Test Solutions

Achieving the goal of fully autonomous driving involves the development of highly complex software infused with artificial intelligence (AI) that can correctly interpret and act upon streams of real-time data arriving from the surrounding infrastructure and emanating from arrays of in-vehicle-based sensors. One consequence: thorough verification of the functionality, performance, and safety of such systems will increasingly depend on detailed simulation and testing in the lab. This can be utilized throughout the automotive workflow, beginning long before new advances are deployed in vehicles operating on public roadways.

Achieving C-V2X Compliance

Testing the performance of cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) components and subsystems to achieve compliance against evolving 5G test requirements is an ongoing challenge for the connected vehicle market. The global acceptance for the C-V2X technology takes autonomous driving from a shared vision to mass-market reality. C-V2X uses the 3rd Partner Project (3GPP) standard for 4G and 5G mobile cellular connectivity and operates in the 5.9 GHz frequency band. In most countries, this is the official designated Intelligent Transport System (ITS) frequency band. C-V2X certification is a shifting landscape because of the evolving regional ITS standards while at the same time the regulatory requirements for 5G are a moving target. Manufacturers must accommodate future iterations and legislative changes to be competitive in a rapidly expanding marketplace. This white paper outlines the importance of C-V2X and how to stay ahead of C-V2X certification despite the evolving 5G test requirements and regulations. The key topics covered in the white paper including the following: Advantages of C-V2X Technology, Automotive Industry alliances, C-V2X certification Challenges, C-V2X Testing and Validation, Ensure conformance, C-V2X Test Solutions.
