Network Emulators Catalog

This catalog highlights Keysight’s Network Emulator 2 and Network Emulator 3 solutions, enabling precise replication of real‑world network impairments across 100 MbE to 100GE Ethernet. It provides performance details, use cases, architecture capabilities, and supporting tools for validating application robustness, interoperability, and network resilience before deployment.

Why Network Emulator 3?

In this video, meet Keysight Network Emulator 3 — the fastest interface speed network emulator supporting 100GE, 25GE, and 10GE Ethernet impairment platforms. Built with application-aware emulation engines, it delivers precise control over network impairments such as latency, jitter, and packet loss, allowing you to test application performance under real-world network conditions with unmatched accuracy. Watch how it helps you uncover hidden performance issues, debug application behavior, reduce deployment risks, accelerate release cycles, and ensure consistent user experiences before connectivity disruptions ever reach your users.

5G Network Emulation Solutions

Delivering high-quality 5G New Radio (NR) devices requires innovative network emulation solutions (NES) for the entire 5G ecosystem, including non-standalone (NSA) and standalone (SA) use cases, sub-6 GHz and millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequencies, and all test domains.

E6966B IMS-SIP Network Emulator

The E6966B IMS-SIP network emulator allows you to efficiently test the performance and functionality of cellular user equipment in an all-IP IMS-SIP environment.

Emulate Sustained and Evolving Lunar Networks

Supporting sustained lunar missions will require a reliable communications infrastructure. In current systems, one communications system supports one instrument or device, such as a lunar rover. A cellular network potentially provides the most viable approach, but many challenges must be overcome to get a network of base stations and devices to the moon and then operational.

Flex Tap II

The Keysight Flex Tap II provide reliable continuous visibility of 100% of network traffic to support performance and security with no network performance degradation or disruption. Flex Tap II are flexible and scalable, each Tap in the family is modular, can supports speeds up to 400G, and is 100 percent passive. Flex Tap II are available in multimode and single mode fiber varieties with split ratios ranging from 50/50 up to 90/10. Up to 24 taps can be deployed in a single 1U 19inch rack space.

The Network Performance Impact on Customer Experience

Brand loyalty is slowing down, but brand experience is alive! Since we transact via apps and websites, this makes it awfully hard to create amazing brand experiences. Keysight Technologies offers a unique solution allowing you to measure your customer’s digital experience while emulating accurate network conditions that occur over live production networks.

Network Emulation Fuels 5G Device Availability

Carrier acceptance testing is the next step on the road to 5G. Network emulation solutions accelerate the 5G device acceptance process for mobile network operators and device makers.

Network Emulator 3: 100GE, 50GE, 40GE, 25GE, and 10GE Impairment

Effective testing requires a real-world environment that reproduces realistic network conditions and behavior. All software and hardware should be subjected to a realistic test environment before deployment.

iLink Aggregator II

Keysight’s iLink Aggregators are cost effective solutions for the tapping and aggregating of traffic to feed to network monitoring or cyber security tools. They come in two models. The first (iLink LA2-INLN-T) consists of 8 inline copper taps and four SFP+ monitor ports. With this model the inline taps have a “fail to wire” capability that protects traffic flow. The second model (iLink LA2-SPAN-T) has 16 copper input ports and four SFP+ monitor ports. This is designed to be fed from either upstream copper taps or SPAN ports.

SD-WAN 101: Ensuring Peak Network Performance and Service QoE

As with any new technology, SD-WAN does not come without challenges. The network infrastructure needs to be well-tested to be able to provide the five-nines reliability required for business-critical applications. Testing robustness and ensuring security of the network is extremely critical since the cost of downtime for an enterprise network is very high. Read this paper to better understand the pre-deployment network infrastructure validation and post-deployment SLA and performance monitoring required to ensure successful SD-WAN implementations.
