(like frequency or power) without rebuilding the channels and then sweep to get new data.
Version A.03.00.001.0058 - August 2022
Enhancements
- Added support for Digital to RF cross-domain device class (DigiRF)
(Note: new features below are enabled through the S94610B license)
- Includes support for devices of type Transmitter
- Includes support for devices of type Receiver
- Includes support for devices of type Transceiver
- New measurements include:
- Transmitter/Receiver vector frequency response
- Transmitter/Receiver EVM
- Receiver Noise Figure
- Receiver Intermodulation Distortion
- Added new application "DMX Waveform Creator"
- An IQ wideband waveform generation utility with a simple to use UI for creating test waveforms suitable for the
Tx/Rx vector frequency response and EVM measurements
- Added support for DUT Control
- For DigiRF measurements, users have the option to interface with command-line executable scripts that can
initialize the device under test and send/receive IQ data to/from the DUT.
- Added support for use of external Keysight vector sources and ARBs to generate wideband modulated signals for Rx testing
- Added support for use of internal PNA wideband modulated signal generation.
- Added support for the XSB (source 3) source in the PNA-X models to use as clock or LO signals
- Added support to store correction file (calset) information with the DMX configuration file. When configuration
is recalled, DMX will attempt to restore the associated calset for the channel if it is still present on the VNA.
- Added support for applying new configurations to the VNA without disturbing existing measurements (using the VNA
Sheets feature)
- Various UI enhancements
- New toolbar in the Channel Configuration window
- Main DMX window resizeable
- New items in the preference edit dialog
- New menu item in the Channel menu for turning on corrections
Version A.02.01.001.0027 - February 2022
Enhancements
- Added a .NET programmable API that enables automation for:
- Recall a saved DMX configuration
- Build one or more channels of saved configuration on the VNA
- Sweep one or all VNA built channels
- Acquire data from one or all VNA channels
- Data can be acquired in a .csv or.citi file, or transferred to the client application as a per trace data array.
- Added support for Power Sweep Frequency Range type in the template editor
- Create a CW or a mixer power sweep range in the template
- Measurements that support power sweep types can be added to a device's power sweep frequency range.
- Added the ability to choose source power compensation for any de-embedded fixture
- Added a Preference Editor dialog. that enables changes to the application control settings. Settings are stored
when application is closed.
- Enhanced the Log Viewer application so it will continuously update while DMX is running.
- Added a "Remove Linear Delay" analysis method that places a marker in the center of the measurement span and
performs a Marker->Delay and then a Marker->Reference operation on the VNA.
- Updated to 64-bit installer and application. Installation on a 32-bit OS is no longer supported.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed application crash that occurred when a user changes the swept IMD measurement sweep type from sweep fc to power sweep.
- Fixed the crash that occurred when a user recalled a configuration and then navigated to the Freq Stimulus View
and clicked the edit frequency range button.
- Fixed numerical entries that incorrectly changed numeric scientific notation to decimal values. For example, 14E-8
incorrectly changed to 1.4.
- Fixed issue where previous installed version of DMX was not properly removed when installing a new version.
- Fixed crashed caused by navigating backwards through the Wizard.
- Reduced I/O call overhead when creating measurements.
Version A.01.03.002.0001- July 2020
Enhancements
- Added sweep progress update to the DUT measurements performed after calibration complete.
- Able to apply configuration to the VNA without sweeping each channel in both DMX and Device Expert.
- Able to cancel applying a configuration operation to the VNA for both multi-channel and single channel cases.
- Enabled Limit Assistant application window resizing.
- User can define ELO and/or Dual-Stage converters in the template. This avoids users from having to make the ELO or
Dual-Stage selection every time a DMX session is run.
- Users can create specific Linear and Mixer frequency ranges for each DUT within the template, removing the need to
edit the frequency ranges in each DMX session if the template has been properly configured.
- Updated the DMX calibration wizard to allow Independent port power calibrations and Independent Channel calibrations.
These are new Calibration All features now available on the VNA.
- Added snap-to-grid capability to snap new or edited limit segments to grid lines in Limit Assistant.
- Able to set the number of X- and Y- axis division displayed in Limit Assistant, in the Settings > Grid menu.
Bug Fixes
- Consistently applies points optimization for building the whole state versus building a single channel.
- Added tracking to filter measurement marker searches.
- Loading fixture files, formatted in Real/Imaginary pairs, no longer causes the application to crash, and now shows
summary information in the fixture load dialog.
- Mixer Isolation measurements now apply the number of points and averaging count to the channel built on the VNA.
- Enabled user changes to embedded LO settings and applying the embedded LO (ELO) state to the VNA.
- Enabled adding new analysis to measurements after recalling a DMX configuration.
- Log Viewer no longer crashes when Ctrl+C is used to copy log entries to clipboard.
