Situation:

After April 18th 2018, i1000 software will report a “VTEP License Not found” error during start-up, VTEP learning or VTEP diagnostics, even though the license file is valid.

The i1000 software, including the VTEP software will continue to function in production, however VTEP learning, debugging and diagnostics functionalities will not work any more.

This issue happens across all i1000D system types and all versions of the software.

Solution/Action:

A software issue has been identified and a software patch has been created and is available for download.

After downloading, the “VTEP_Fix_setup.exe” can be run directly and after restarting i1000 software, the error message will not show up and VTEP should be working as it is desired.
 

Keysight recommends using the most current version, which includes the most up-to-date bug fixes and security patches available.
