What sets DMX apart from the applications that are built into the VNA already?

While DMX does not necessarily add new measurement capabilities to the VNA, it changes how users interact with our solutions. Instruments such as the PNA-X and the measurement applications that are built into it (such as Noise Figure, IMD or Gain Compression), require that users have a relatively deep understanding of underlying measurement science and capabilities and limitations of the hardware in the instrument. In other words users’ direct interaction with the instrument is “Measurement Centric”. DMX, changes that interaction model to a “DUT Centric” approach, where customers need only know about the requirements and limitations of their own devices they want to test and the software then translates those inputs into a complete and optimized setup of the measurement instrument.
