What are the Implications of Swapping Test Heads Between Different Keysight 4287A Impedance Analyzers?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Summary

What are the implications of swapping test heads between different Keysight 4287A Impedance Analyzers?

Question

What are the implications of swapping test heads between different Keysight 4287A Impedance Analyzers?

Answer

The Keysight 4287A Impedance Analyzer must be used with the furnished test head as a set. The mated test head is an indivisible portion of the calibrated 4287A.

The 4287A Impedance Analyzer measurement accuracy is specified and certified via performance tests and calibration for the combination of the 4287A mainframe and the furnished test head as a pair.

If the test head is replaced with a new test head or swapped with a test head from another 4287A, then the 4287A together with the non-original test head must undergo full performance tests, i.e. full re-calibration, at a Keysight service center.
