Is there a sample project that demonstrates the operation of the VPT501?

Yes, there are 2 sample projects to be found in the directory “Samples” in the program installation directory. Open the .prj file which will automatically load the corresponding .mcf file. The .pdf files with the same name shows the network topology defined in the corresponding .mcf file.

1. Project “sample”: It shows amongst others how the “Timing Checker” detects timing errors.
2. Project “4channel”: It defines 4 networks which are connected to the 4 physical channels of the VPT501 (CAN1, CAN2, LIN1, LIN2) and emulates traffic on all 4 channels.
