Does the 3488A and/or 3499A/B/C contain batteries?

There are no batteries in the 3488A. For the 3499A/B/C, please check the firmware revision. The 3499A/B/C contains batteries if the firmware revision is 1.0 or 1.1 and the control board must be upgraded or replaced. If the 3499 battery is completely discharged these products may experience blinking or dark displays due to a defect in the battery back-up circuit. The 3499A/B/C does not contain batteries if the firmware revision is equal to or greater than 2.0.
