The history features provide you with insight into the trends of your test system. Without any programming on your part, your VXI test system will be monitored and information stored. For example: when and how often the frame has turned off, when warnings occurred and why, how temperatures have been distributed over time, and more. When you encounter a problem in your test system you will have avenues of information to follow, either with a few button presses on a full color graphical display, or programmatically. What type of environment has the module been experiencing? What events led up to the failure? How did the experience of this module differ from its cousin in a different test system? In time, familiarity with the problems your particular test system encounters can lead to knowledge of predictive events. Then by watching for those predictive events using the history features you can prevent problems.
