Can the Keysight X-Series signal analyzer with N9081A <EM>Bluetooth</EM>® measurement application measure <EM>Bluetooth</EM> hopping signals?

The short answer for this question is “no”. Fundamentally, frequency hopping is needed for testing the functional capability of the Bluetooth device, whereas for parametric tests, hopping is not essential. To reduce the number of variables and identify individual performance characteristics, frequency hopping is turned OFF for a number of tests. The N9081A and W9081A Bluetooth measurement application supports the 79 MHz transmit bandwidth transmitter tests, but does NOT support hopping signals.
