8903A, 8903B, 8903E Comparison

The Keysight 8903B is the replacement for the Keysight 8903A. Here are the differences in the Keysight 8903B:

1. True Balanced Input to the Analyzer

2. Front Panel Switchable Detector, rms-to-Average

3. Quasi-Peak Detector, Accessible by Special Function

4. Lower Noise in the Analyzer Portion

5. Switchable Impedance, 50-600 Ohms, by Special Function

6. Voltage Measurements in dBm into 600 Ohms

7. Choice of Two Bandpass Filters from a Menu of 6 (8903A had Options 010 and 051)

The 8903E is simply the analyzer portion of the instrument; no source included. It has the same specifications as the analyzer portion of the 8903B. Not having a source, it cannot do signal to noise ratio; it has a special "notch-lock" function to enable measurement of SINAD and distortion.
