The effectiveness of RF and microwave design simulation is ultimately dictated by the accuracy of the simulation models that are used. Accurate simulation models are essential to reduce the number of design iterations, improve turnaround and reduce costs. Device models that lack consistency, or that do not account for the effect of substrate or footprint variation or of parasitic elements can impact significantly your RF/MW design productivity.

The Modelithics COMPLETE library for Keysight Technologies Genesys design software provides increased flexibility and accuracy for electronics design. The library is fully integrated with the Genesys design software and includes over 200 simulation models for devices including passive components, nonlinear diodes and transistors and system-level components such as attenuators and amplifiers.

Modelithics library models are precise measurement-based software simulation models that feature scalable design parameters such as part-value, substrate properties, temperature and pad dimensions. Active device models can have bias and geometry scalability. To help the designer, each model includes a comprehensive datasheet containing model information, such as measurement and fixture details and model-to-measurement comparisons.

X-Parameter Design Simulation Models

New non-linear models can be added by converting existing models to X-parameter simulation models. X-parameter models provide mathematically correct extensions of S-parameters to cover both large- and small-signal conditions and capture linear and non-linear behaviour.

Modelithics can also develop new X-parameter models by providing measurement services that use the Keysight PNA-X network analyzer.
