Industry leading high output power
Significantly increase the output power of the E8257C PSG analog signal generator with the high output power option and eliminate the need for external amplifiers. For frequencies up to 20 GHz, the measured output power improves over standard performance up to 12 dB, and up to 9 dB from 20 to 40 GHz (see data sheet for details). Measured maximum output power of up to +25 dBm and +18 dBm, respectively, are often delivered with level accuracies near ± 0.2 dB for precise characterization of your device under test.

Typical applications
Option 1EA is recommended for signal generation applications that require high power signals to stress the devices under test. Use the additional output power to compensate for path losses from system components or to effectively characterize transceivers. Common test applications include amplifier linearity verification, blocking and interference generation, and receiver maximum input level characterization. When generating frequencies up to 110 GHz with Keysight mm-wave modules, the delivered power also eliminates the need for external drive amplifiers at the output of the PSG.
