The W8601EP Model Builder Program (MBP) Core Environment is the main MBP platform for device modeling. The MBP core environment enables users to easily complete common tasks including data loading, model simulation, parameter extraction, model generation and reporting. Simulation can be performed by either the internal engine or external simulators. Automated extraction flow (task tree) enables fast and robust model extraction and optimization. Users can also modify or customize extraction flow using simple Java programming. The internal optimizers support the optimization of general models, subcircuit models, design spec, and intermediate variables (IMVs). A rich set of modeling utilities guarantees accurate model generation with high quality.

By default, W8601EP MBP Core Environment includes the extraction packages for BSIM3, BSIM4, GP bipolar, resistor (R2 and R3), capacitor (MOSVAR, MIM), diode (JUNCAP2, diode level1, 3), JFET and macro (subcircuit) model.
