How to update the B2980A Series' firmware

Step 1.    If the B2980A is turned on, press line switch to turn off.
Step 2.    Press line switch to turn on the B2980A and wait for LAN indicator becomes green or red.
Step 3.    Attach your USB flash memory device, contains B2980A folder on the top, to the USB port on the B2980A front panel.
           (You can download the latest B2980A firmware (ZIP file) from Agilent web site.)
Step 4.    Press [System Menu], [More...], [System], [More...], [Info.], [Update], and [Firmware]
Step 5.    Press [OK] to start updating the firmware.
           After completing the update, you will be prompted to power cycle the B2980A.
Step 6.    Press the line switch to turn off.  And then, press it again to turn on.

Note: To update revision 1.0 to 1.1 or later, please repeat above steps twice.
      (The firmware is updated on 1st time. The measurement modules are update on 2nd time)
