Evaluate Self-Discharge of Lithium-Ion Cells in a Fraction of the Time Traditionally Required
It is important to test the self-discharge of lithium-ion battery cells. High levels of self-discharge are indicative of latent failures. These cells must be identified and separated from good cells to prevent potentially catastrophic failures. Traditionally lithium ion cell self-discharge is evaluated by measuring the decrease in a cell’s open-circuit voltage (OCV) over time.
