           Keysight U5850 Series Firmware Upgrade Procedures

System Requirements

   1. U5850 Series Firmware update program file (filename: U5855A.bin)

   2. AC to DC adapter P/N:0950-5481

   3. SD Memory Card P/N: 5190-7423 

   4. Personal computer with Microsoft Windows with SD memory card reader
   
 
Firmware Update Procedures:

   1. Insert the SD memory card into your PC.

   2. Create an "Update" folder in the SD memory card from your PC. [ "drive:\folder", for example E:\Update ]

   3. Copy the "U5855A.bin" file into the "Update" folder.

      Caution: DO NOT make a copy of firmware directly from your PC to SD memory card on the Thermal Imager via USB interface. 

   4. Ensure that the .bin file is at the appropriate tree indicated by "drive:\folder\.bin file" for example E:\Update\U5855A.bin. 

   5. Check the unit current firmware version at Setting\System Info before any upgrading process and record down the version.

   6. Power off the unit (U5855A/U5856A/U5857A) then connect an AC-DC power adapter to the unit to avoid power disconnected during firmware update.

      Caution: Always use power from power adapter for firmware upgrading to avoid unstable power that causing firmware corrupted 

               during upgrading process.

   7. Insert the SD memory card which been updated with latest firmware program to the main unit.

   8. Turn on the power while pressing the "Trigger Key" and "Camera/Zoom key" until the firmware update message is appear on the 

      display. Trigger Key and Camera/Zoom button can be released When the firmware start the upgrading process.
   
      Caution: i. DO NOT power off the unit while firmware is in progress of upgrading.

              ii. DO NOT pull out the SD memory card while firmware is in progress of upgrading.

   9. After the firmware upgrading is completed, Power Off the unit.

   10.Power On the unit again to check for new firmware version at Setting\System Info.
