Maximize the performance of your inverter

Keysight’s photovoltaic (PV) simulator includes the hardware and software to test a single maximum power point tracking (MPPT) inverter accurately. Test PV voltages up to 2000 V and 30 A with a single supply. Software licenses are available to test string inverter with 4-, 8-, or 12-MPPT channels. Most string inverter solutions test one MPPT channel at a time — leading to test inaccuracies. Keysight's DG9000 can test up to 12 MPPT channels simultaneously.

PV array simulation begins with the hardware — Keysight’s PV8900 Series 20 kW autoranging DC power source helps you with your most challenging test requirements. Built-in algorithms simulate the output characteristics of a PV array under different environmental conditions, including temperature, irradiance, age, cell technology, and more.

The PV8900 Series has tremendous power density, with output up to 20 kW in a 3 U package. PV simulation enables quick and comprehensive testing of an inverter’s MPPT and inverter efficiency. 

The PV array simulator solution includes the Keysight DG9000 photovoltaic software package. The DG9000 simplifies I-V curve creation and measurements. For additional power, the software can control multiple PV8900 PV simulators.
