I See, or Incorporate the Image Into a Document?
Question:
How do I print an image that I see, or incorporate the image into
a document?
Answer:
(5DX/TDW, Date: Jan 98: Version: 4.x, 5.x)
Series I
To take an image from the Agilent 5DX Image Monitor offline
- Have the view on screen.
- Hit F8.
- Answer the questions given.
NOTE: If you want to save to the floppy
disk drive A:, prepend the filename with a:\.
The image is saved as a TIF file. It can then
be viewed or printed from most graphics packages. Most graphics
packages also have the ability to convert TIF formats to other common
image formats.
Series II
The F8 function does not work on Series II systems. In order to
save an image and use it elsewhere, you'll need to do a screen capture.
- Have the view you want to capture in the Image Window.
- Click on the Image Window to make it active.
- Press ALT and Print Screen simultaneously. This will copy the
contents of the active window to the clipboard.
- Click on Start.
- Click on Programs.
- Click on Accessories.
- Click on Paint. This will launch the Paint program.
- Click on Edit.
- Click on Paste. This will copy the contents of the clipboard
to the Paint program. If you get the following message, click
on Yes:
The image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap.
Would you like the bitmap enlarged?
- There will be crop marks surrounding the image. If you want
the image as shown (including the window) then click on Edit,
then Copy To and type a filename and select the appropriate directory.
If you don't want the window's frame, then use the crop tool (looks
like a dashed square) to select just the portion of the image
that you want, then click on Edit, then Copy To and type a filename
and select the appropriate directory.
