Best Practices for Monitoring Distributed Service Provider Networks
Service providers are starting to capitalize upon the power of IT. Valuable technology like IP, SDN, NFV, IoT, and cloud networks are helping to modernize the existing infrastructure so that service providers can reduce costs and improve security. In addition, new architectures (like 4G and CORD) are available for wireless and wireline networks to help them transform as well. As the networks themselves change, network monitoring and network visibility capabilities need to change as well. A visibility architecture with network packet brokers (NPBs) can be used effectively to reduce costs, optimize user quality of experience (QOE), improve network security defenses, and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
