The Keysight N1948A physical layer test system provides the highest accuracy and most comprehensive tool set for characterizing single-ended or differential physical layer components such as high-speed backplanes, cables, connectors, packages, and controlled traces on circuit boards.

Vector network analyzer based solutions provide the best measurement resolution and accuracy through calibration and fixture removal techniques that have been refined through years of demanding microwave applications. VNA results are calibrated using frequency domain artifacts - each measurement is accurate, repeatable, and traceable to industry standards.

The N1948A physical layer test system includes:

  • E8358A PNA Series vector network analyzer with Option 015
  • N4417A 9 GHz Test set with Option 104
  • N1930A physical layer test system software
