The WLAN modulation analysis option provides spectrum, time, and modulation quality measurements for WLAN (802.11a/b/g) signals.

IEEE 802.11a modulation analysis – Analyze and demodulate 802.11a, 802.11g and HiperLAN2 compatible signals for complete analysis, all with the flexible demodulation capabilities of OFDM mode.

  • Demodulate OFDM bursts down to the bit level
  • Automatically determine and display all modulation formats (BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM ) present in the burst with the compound constellation display
  • Evaluate modulation quality of each symbol, or of each sub-carrier in a symbol with the Common Pilot Error display

IEEE 802.11b modulation analysis – Automatically detect, despread, descramble, and demodulate payload data in all mandatory 802.11b formats (1, 2, 5.5, 11 Mbps) with DSSS/CCK/PBCC mode.

  • Advanced time domain analysis tools such as time gating - to analyze the spectrum of an specific portion of the burst
  • Gain greater insight into signaling problems with graphical displays, including constellation diagram, spectrogram, error vector spectrum, and error vector time

IEEE 802.11g modulation analysis – Analyze 802.11g signals using both the OFDM and DSSS/CCK/PBCC modes - Handle the optional PBCC modes, the optional short preamble, and the CCK preamble of the CCK-OFDM format.

IEEE 802.11a/b/g WLAN test suite – Simplify the testing of your IEEE 802.11a/b/g signal to its standard.

  • Automatically execute standards-based transmitter test of your signal
  • Measure transmit power, center frequency and symbol clock frequency tolerance, modulation accuracy, and spectral mask
  • Easily modify your standards-based test limits and the limit lines profiles, or choose from the pre-programmed options
