Test 802.11a/b/g Transceivers

Option H17 provides a powerful signal creation tool for testing 802.11a/b/g transceivers. Easily create WLAN waveforms on your PC with the graphical user interface. Quickly download the waveforms to the PSG's baseband generator over LAN or GPIB.

Fully-Coded Signals Enable FER/PER/BER Analysis

Thoroughly test your WLAN transceiver's RF and baseband subsections with fully-coded WLAN frames that enable you to perform FER, PER, and BER analysis. The software automatically adds the required encoding, including interleaving and frame check sequence (FCS) bits, for testing baseband decoding algorithms. Demodulator specific tests can be isolated and performed by disabling some, or all, of the encoding levels.

Evaluate the User Interface

Download Signal Studio to a PC to review the user interface and investigate the WLAN signal creation capabilities of the software prior to purchase. Each vector signal generator must be licensed separately in order to generate the signals created by the software.

Signal Studio for 802.11a/b/g is recommended for testing WLAN transceivers and their components used in wireless adapters, access points, and routers. Typical applications range from component and amplifier test to ASIC/DSP coding algorithm development/debugging and performing receiver FER/PER/BER analysis. Common measurements include receiver minimum input level sensitivity, adjacent and non-adjacent channel rejection, and maximum input level.
