High performance channel simulation
Baseband Studio for fading is a modern signal-processing tool that delivers realistic channel simulation for advanced receiver test applications. It is used with the E4438C ESG vector signal generator or the E5515C wireless communications test set. These instruments send baseband signals that are digitally faded in real-time by Baseband Studio for fading and sent back to the instruments for upconversion to RF. This baseband fading technique eliminates spurs and images caused by the up and down conversions of traditional RF faders and improves test stimulus repeatability. Choose from preset fading profiles for popular communications formats, such as W-CDMA, cdma2000, WLAN, and more, and easily configure custom fading profiles to meet your specific test needs.
