Optical attenuators and switches are used to control signal power and routing. Keysight's variable optical attenuators combine high performance with advanced functionality.

The new N7752C and N776-C family of variable optical attenuators enables highly efficient optical transceiver and network integration testing. The new attenuator generation sports an on-board graphical user interface for easy control without software installation, accessible via GbE LAN and USB 2.0 connections.

N7752C is a two-channel model for single-mode fiber equipped with two additional, independent optical power meters. It replaces its direct predecessor N7752A and N7751A, a product variant with a single attenuator and two power meters.

N7764C is a four-channel model for single mode fiber, and based, like N7752C, on electrically controlled variable optical attenuator (VOA) modules. N7764C replaces its predecessors N7764A, N7762A and N7761A, single-channel, two-channel and four-channel variable optical attenuators for single-mode fiber.

N7768C is a four-channel model for 50/125 µm multimode fiber, based on a miniature rotating filter design optimized to provide an insertion loss of typically only 1.6 dB including connectors. The attenuating filter is positioned in a collimated beam to maintain the same modal distribution across the entire attenuation range. N7768C replaces its predecessors N7768A and N7766A, four-channel and two-channel variable optical attenuators for multimode fiber.

The 8157xA-series modular attenuators are based on miniature bulk optical designs and are hosted in an 8163B Lightwave Multimeter or in an 8164B Lightwave Measurement System mainframe. The 81576A and 81577A also include power monitoring and control.

The new N773-C family of single-mode fiber-optic switches are based on optical micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology, using tiny mirrors to guide the light to the desired output. MEMS based optical switches offer outstanding durability, repeatability, and fast switching times. The new switch generation offers an on-board graphical user interface for easy control without software installation, accessible via GbE LAN and USB 2.0 connections. There are three topologies available to cover typical applications requiring 1x4 or 1x16 or 2x2 configurations.

The N7734A fiber-optic switch offers a 1x13 layout.

The 81595B 1x4 optical switch is a module for the 8163B Lightwave Multimeter and the 8164B Lightwave Measurement System mainframe.
