You can install a newer version of BOOTP Turbo software to resolve the boot issue.

Installation Procedure:

1. Download the “bootpt.exe”.
2. Back up the bootptab file in c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc by renaming it to bootptab.org.
3. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, Remove BOOTP Turbo software
4. To install the newer version, double click on “bootpt.exe”
5. Follow the instruction to complete the installation.
6. Rename bootptab.org to bootptab in c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc.
7. Restart the PC.

Situation:
The i3070 Series 5 test system controller that installed i3070 software 09.10p with Windows 7 Operating System may encounter testhead boot-up issue.

The Bootp Turbo software used in 9.10p is having some conflicts with certain types of PC controller. This could happen to newly shipped systems, or existing systems upgraded from earlier software revision.

Validation:

Locate bootpt.exe at “C:\Program Files (x86)\BOOTP Turbo\bootpt.exe”, right click mouse and select the “Properties”, then select “Details” tab.

The correct Product version is “1.3.0.1252” and the Copyright is “Copyright@1996-2012

 

Solution/Action:
Install a newer version of BOOTP Turbo software could resolved the issue.

An intermittent boot error might occur with the i3070 Control XTPA card on Win 7 systems running software version 08.30pb.

If boot service is being restarted, some systems may intermittently encounter this boot problem.

This problem usually goes away with subsequent re-boots.
